These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of www.perfectandsonsroofing.co.uk (the "Website") and to all quotations, works and services provided by Perfect & Sons Roofing Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Website or accepting a quotation from us, you ("you", "the customer") agree to these terms.

2. Use of the Website

2.1 The content on this Website is for general information only. While we aim to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no guarantee that it is complete, current or free from errors.

3. Quotations

3.1 All quotations are free of charge unless agreed otherwise in advance.

3.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

3.3 Quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection. Where hidden defects are found once work begins (for example, rotten timbers, structural damage or asbestos), we will tell you before carrying out any extra work and agree any additional costs with you first.

3.4 A contract is formed when you accept our quotation verbally, in writing or by email.

4. Prices and Payment

4.1 Prices will be shown on your quotation and will state whether VAT is included where applicable.

4.2 For larger projects we may ask for a deposit before work begins. Any deposit will be set out on your quotation.

4.3 Unless agreed otherwise, the balance is due on completion of the work. Invoices should be paid within 7 days of the invoice date.

4.4 We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate permitted by law and to recover reasonable costs of collecting unpaid debts.

4.5 Ownership of all materials supplied remains with Perfect & Sons Roofing Ltd until full payment has been received.

5. Your Right to Cancel

5.1 If you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our business premises (for example, at your home) or at a distance (by phone or email), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

5.2 To cancel, contact us by phone or email using the details above.

5.3 If you ask us to start work within the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, you will pay for any work done and materials ordered up to the point of cancellation.

5.4 The right to cancel does not apply once work has been fully completed at your request within the cancellation period, or to emergency repairs you have asked us to carry out immediately.

6. Scheduling and Access

6.1 We will make every reasonable effort to start and finish work on the agreed dates. Roofing work depends on the weather, and we may need to reschedule for safety reasons or to protect the quality of the work. We will not be liable for delays caused by weather or other events beyond our reasonable control.

6.2 You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, including access to electricity and water where needed, and to move vehicles, garden furniture and other items from the work area.

6.3 You are responsible for getting any permissions needed from neighbours, landlords, freeholders or management companies, and for any planning permission or listed building consent, unless we have agreed in writing to arrange this.

6.4 We will keep the work area tidy and remove waste generated by our work on completion, unless agreed otherwise.

7. Scaffolding and Equipment

7.1 Where scaffolding is needed, this will be stated in your quotation. Scaffolding must not be altered, moved or climbed by anyone other than our team or the scaffolding contractor.

7.2 You are responsible for keeping children, pets and visitors away from the work area and equipment.

8. Drone Inspections

8.1 Drone roof inspections are carried out in line with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules.

8.2 Images and video taken during an inspection are used to assess your roof and prepare your quotation. We will not publish identifiable images of your property without your permission.

8.3 Drone inspections are a visual survey only and may not detect every defect, particularly those hidden beneath roof coverings.

9. Guarantees

9.1 Any guarantee on our workmanship will be set out in your quotation or invoice. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed on to you where available.

9.2 Guarantees only apply once full payment has been received.

9.3 Guarantees do not cover damage caused by storms and severe weather, accidents, misuse, lack of maintenance, alterations or repairs made by others, or pre-existing defects in parts of the roof we did not work on.

9.4 Emergency and temporary repairs are carried out to make the property safe and watertight in the short term and are not covered by a long-term guarantee unless stated in writing.

10. Complaints

If you are not happy with any part of our work, please contact us as soon as possible on 01252 939837 or at info@perfectandsonsroofing.co.uk. We will investigate and aim to resolve the issue quickly and fairly. You must allow us a reasonable chance to inspect and put right any problem before asking another contractor to carry out remedial work.

11. Liability

11.1 We hold appropriate public liability insurance for the work we carry out.

11.2 We are not liable for any loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for damage caused by pre-existing defects in your property.

11.3 Our total liability under any contract will not exceed the contract price, except where the law does not allow us to limit our liability.

11.4 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in force when you accept a quotation will apply to that contract.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
